Support for Lithuania and Norway SAF-T in Microsoft Dynamics AX

The changes in the hotfix enable the support for Lithuanian SAF-T in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 SP1.

The changes in the hotfix also enable the support for Norwegian SAF-T in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 SP1.

The functionality is implemented by using Application Integration Framework (AIF) services and XSL transformation (XSLT). XSLT allows setting up the selection of Dynamics-related requisites and mapping them to the e-report elements.

Setup

1. Open AOT, export XSLT file from the applicable resource into a folder. (say, C:\TMP\XSL)

2. System administration >> Setup >> Services and Application Integration Framework >> Outbound ports for electronic audit reports
   1. Click "Create / Update ports". This will populate the list of default ports.

   2. Set "Import XSLT" equal to the path from step 1. (C:\TMP\XSL)
   3. Set "Default export path" to the path you expect the reports to be saved to. (say, C:\TMP\OUT)
   4. Click "Create / Update ports".
      • The XSL is imported into Dynamics AX with the default ID.
      • The "XSLT ID" field is set to reference the XSL transformation.
   5. The outbound AIF port is created and initialized with a list of needed services.

Manual import of XSLT into Microsoft Dynamics AX

In some cases, you may want to manually create/update XSLTs that AX will use.

1. In the "Outbound ports for electronic audit reports" form, select the needed port (for example, i.SAF (Lithuania)), create new XSLT transformation reference, right-click on "XSLT ID", "View details".
2. In the "XSLT repository", create new record, set "XSLT ID" (for example, "ReplaceTaxCodeLTiSAF"), save.
3. Click "Import", select the XSLT (e.g. C:\TMP\XSL\ReplaceTaxCodeLTiSAF.xslt), "Open".
4. In the "Outbound ports for electronic audit reports" form, select the created XSLT; if needed, use "Up" and "Down" buttons to place one XSLT higher ("before") then other(s). For example, "ReplaceTaxCodeLTiSAF" XSLT should be higher ("before") then the "iSAFLithuania" XSLT.

XSLT transformation for the namespace replacement (country/region format namespaces support)

The XSLT can be used to replace namespace on the elements of the XML, for example, from default to country-region specific. Please find the example below.

1. Export the AifOutboundPortReportSAFT_LT.xslt from the resource (AifOutboundPortReportSAFT_LT) into a folder. (say, C:\TMP\XSL)
2. You may want to edit the XSLT to produce namespace replacements other than those supported currently.
3. Import the XSLT into AX.
4. Run the report, see the namespace is replaced.

SAF-T

The Standard Audit File (Taxes) (SAF-T) periodic procedure is available at General ledger >> Reports >> External >> Services and Application Integration Framework >> Standard Audit File (SAF-T). Currently supported: Lithuania and Norway.

Due to specific requirements of the report format (especially the variety of data sources to be reported), more options were migrated to the report dialog and less were left on the query.

The Export all group refers to report "master data" sections, allowing exporting "master data" information even if there is no "transactional" data behind that "master data".

The Export group allows limiting the exported data to the sections of the report. Note: Per the report format, some "master data" should be exported regardless the user selected something under the Export all; for example, for all exported invoices relevant customer or vendor information must be exported as well, but customer or vendors without invoices in the report period are not mandatory to be exported.
 

Considerations specific to certain sections

Section of "master data" related to Fixed Assets contains a few indicators associated with the main Value Model. To designate the main Value Model used for General accounting (as opposed to Tax Accounting) the Value models filter section was placed on the report dialog. By default, the main Value Model is the one which Posting layer = Current.

Section of "master data" related to General Ledger Chart of Accounts contains indicators associated with a "standard classifier" containing standard ledger accounts. To fill these indicators, the table containing standard chart of accounts should be populated.

Section of "master data" related to Tax codes contains indicators associated with a "standard classifier" containing standard tax codes. To fill these indicators, the standard tax codes should be populated using the form External codes. The checkbox "Standard code" should be set for the standard tax codes.

Additional transformation for country/region format namespaces support

XSML namespace applicable to the report format can be:

- edited in the XSLT. For this replace all occurrences of the default namespace "urn:OECD:StandardAuditFile-Taxation/2.00" by the country-region specific: or, alternatively,

- applied via additional XSLT transformation (see XSLT transformation for the namespace replacement (country/region format namespaces support)).
