Some Lync 2013 and Skype for Business 2016 functionalities don't work after you migrate to Exchange vNext

Symptoms

After you move to Exchange vNext from a legacy dedicated environment, you can't see conversation history, calendar data, or presence data in Outlook. You have to sign out, delete sign-in information, and then sign back in to Microsoft Lync 2013 (Skype for Business) or Skype for Business 2016 to get the full functionality. Resolution

To fix this issue, use one of the following methods:

For Lync 2013 (Skype for Business)

To fix this issue, apply the following update:

For Skype for Business 2016

To fix this issue, apply the following update: After you install the update, you have to restart Lync 2013 (Skype for Business) or Skype for Business 2016 to integrate with the Exchange vNext mailbox.

Note Lync 2013 was upgraded to Skype for Business in April 2015.
