XADM: An Incorrect Time Zone Setting Is Displayed in the OWA Options After You Upgrade from Exchange 2000 SP1

Symptoms

If you configure the (GMT+01:00) Amsterdam, Berlin, Bern, Rome, Stockholm, Vienna time zone in Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA), the time zone that is displayed may change to (GMT-12:00) Eniwetok, Kwajalein after you upgrade from Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 1 (SP1) to Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 2 (SP2).

When you use OWA to log on to a mailbox, click Options in the browser window, and then click the appropriate time zone in the list to configure the time zone.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Status

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Service Pack 3.

More information

Even though the incorrect time zone is displayed, OWA still uses the original (GMT+01:00) Amsterdam, Berlin, Bern, Rome, Stockholm, Vienna time zone.
