Can't install reporting extension on SQL Server 2016 for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2

SQL Server 2016 new Reporting Services web portal has replaced Report Manager. The new web portal lives in the RSWebApp folder but doesn't use the same ASP.NET framework.

Resolution

Dynamics AX setup now covers this scenario while configuring the web portal.

Prerequisites

You must have one of the following products installed to apply this hotfix:
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2

Restart requirement

You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply the hotfix.

File information
