The Install Application task does not use content from the Pre-staged media in System Center 2012 Configuration Manager

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

When the InstallApplication task sequence step is applied, the task does not use the content from the Pre-staged media in System Center 2012 Configuration Manager. Instead, the task uses the files that are stored on the media. This increases the time for task sequence execution from Pre-staged media. This issue does not affect stand-alone media in which the Install Application step uses files from the media as expected.
