Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • A USB multifunction printer that supports both a FAX device and a printer device is attached to a Windows-based system.
  • The driver for the FAX device is based on the Version 3 (v3) printer driver model. The driver for the printer device is based on the Version 4 (v4) printer driver model.
  • Both drivers are installed on the same USB port.
In this scenario, print jobs are unsuccessful.
