FIX: Session Integrator service intermittently crashes in combase!CStdMarshal::DisconnectSrvIPIDs

Symptoms

When you run Session Integrator applications, the Session Integrator Service intermittently terminates unexpectedly and returns an exception in combase!CStdMarshal::DisconnectSrvIPIDs.

Cause

This error occurs because a Session Integrator object was released in error by the Session Integrator. When the calling Session Integrator tries to release the object, the object no longer exists. This causes the exception.

Resolution

The fix that resolves this problem is included in the following cumulative updates for Host Integration Server:

Cumulative Update 2 for Host Integration Server 2016

Cumulative Update 4 for Host Integration Server 2013
