Internet Explorer Incorrectly Represents the Euro Character as &#8364 Instead of 0x80

When you use a META tag to set the character encoding (character set), upon submission, the Euro character is incorrectly converted to its Unicode HyperText Markup Language (HTML) entity representation:

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing.
