Cannot Format a Sony Memory Stick by Using the Quick Format Option

Symptoms

When you try to format a Sony Memory Stick, and you select the Quick Format check box, you may receive the following error message:
Unable to format drive X:

Cause

This issue can occur because Windows Server 2003 does not support use of the Quick Format option on this type of device.

Workaround

To work around this issue, do not select the Quick Format check box.
