The transaction log location determines where primary, secondary, and reserved log files are stored. The system path determines where check files are stored and where temporary transactions are processed.

Change the Transaction Log Location and the System Path

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
  2. Expand Server, right-click the storage group that you want to change, and then click Properties.
  3. In the Properties dialog box, click the Browse button to the right of the Transaction log location box.
  4. In the Transaction Log dialog box, specify a new location for the storage group's transaction logs.

If the folder that you want to use does not exist, specify the location for the new folder, and then click New Folder. Exchange places a new folder directly below the folder that is listed in the Folder box. Rename the folder, and then click OK.
