This article describes an issue that occurs after you install security update 3081320 in Windows Server 2012 R2. You can fix this issue by using the update in this article. Before you install this update, see the Prerequisites section.

Symptoms

The Team Foundation Server (TFS) application pool and the Certreq.exe process crashes when you run customized scripts with NcryptOpenStorageProvider involved. This issue occurs if the CNG key isolation service is disabled.

How to get this update

You can get this update by using one of the following methods. We have released an update through Windows Update and Microsoft Update Catalog. Even though this issue is observed only in Windows Server 2012 R2, the update also applies to Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1.

This issue occurs because of a change in the size of a structure where the call to CopyMemory() is copying more memory than it was allocated after security update 3081320 is installed
