Outlook in Online mode freezes when you update an online meeting

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Assume that you have a Microsoft Lync (Skype for Business) online meeting that contains multiple attendees. When you open or save the meeting in a Microsoft Outlook client in Online mode, the client freezes (hangs) for several seconds.

Note The hang time corresponds to the number of meeting attendees. Its duration is longer for meetings that have a larger number of attendees, particularly if the attendees are Lync (Skype for Business)-enabled.

Resolution

To fix this issue, install the March 8, 2016 update (KB3114831) for Lync 2013 (Skype for Business).

Note Lync 2013 was upgraded to Skype for Business in April 2015.
