Symptoms

When you submit a client request to the Web Requests listener on an Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2000-based computer, an access violation occurs in the ISA Server2000 Web proxy service.

Cause

This problem may occur if both of the following conditions exist:

The Web request contains a body.
ISA Server 2000 incorrectly considers the request body as the beginning of the renegotiation packet and enters the wrong state. This causes an access violation in the Proxy_Request function.
