Symptoms

After you install security update 3134814 for Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1, Windows 8.1, or Windows Server 2012 R2, sites that are specified in the Enterprise Mode Site List may not load in Enterprise mode.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, install the February 2016 cumulative security update for Internet Explorer (MS16-009)  or the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer. Update 3141092 is included as a bundled update together with update 3134814 for Windows Update, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), and Microsoft Catalog customers. Please review the deployment information in update 3134814 .

For customers who use Enterprise mode, we recommend that you install update 3141092 when you install security update 3134814.

Troubleshooting

If you experience any problems when you try to use the Enterprise Mode Site List, you may be able to resolve them these by using any of the following methods:
  • Increment the Enterprise mode site-list version number.
  • On the Tools menu, click Internet Options, click Delete under Browsing history on the General tab, select the Cookies and website data check box, and then click Delete.
  • In Internet Options, select Reset Internet Explorer’s settings on the Advanced tab.
  • Delete the CurrentVersion value.

Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.     Delete the CurrentVersion value found in the following registry subkey, and then restart Internet Explorer:
