| 1. | Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager. |
| 2. | Expand Servers, right-click the server that you want to work with, and then click Properties. |
| 3. | Click the Monitoring tab, and then click Add. |
| 4. | In the Add Resource dialog box, click Free Disk Space, and then click OK. |
| 5. | In the Disk Space Thresholds dialog box, under Drive to be monitored, click the drive that you want to monitor. |
| 6. | To set a warning state threshold, click Warning State (MB), and then, in the adjacent text box, type the disk space that you require. Set the smallest amount of space that your server can operate on before issuing a warning-state alert, typically when the drive has less than 100 megabytes (MB) of free disk space. |
| 7. | To set a critical-state threshold, click Critical State (MB), and then, in the adjacent text box, type the disk space that you require. Set the smallest space that your server can operate on before issuing a critical-state alert, typically when the drive has less than 25 MB of free disk space. |
