System Message 6909, another process has already added the roidetail item. The program must be terminated when you print a report

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics SL:

When certain reports that have templates/selection criteria applied are processed by Application Server they leave behind records in the ROIDETAIL table in the Microsoft Dynamics SL application database. When you later try to print or preview a report that has templates or selection criteria applied you receive the message:

System Message 6909, another process has already added the roidetail item. The program must be terminated

Resolution

Hotfix information for Microsoft Dynamics SL

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article.
