MS16-021: Security update for NPS RADIUS server to address denial of service: February 9, 2016

Summary

This security update resolves a vulnerability in Microsoft Windows. The vulnerability could cause denial of service on a Network Policy Server (NPS) if an attacker sends specially crafted username strings to the NPS. This scenario could prevent RADIUS authentication on the NPS.

How to obtain and install the update

Method 1: Windows Update

You can obtain the stand-alone update package through the Microsoft Download Center. Follow the installation instructions on the download page to install the update.
