This article describes update KB3127984 for Microsoft Word 2016, which was released on December 6, 2016. This update has a prerequisite.
Be aware that the update on the Microsoft Download Center applies to the Microsoft Installer (.msi)-based edition of Office 2016. It doesn't apply to the Office 2016 Click-to-Run editions, such as Microsoft Office 365 Home. (How to determine?)

Improvements and fixes
- Translates some terms in Slovak languages to make sure that the meaning is accurate.
- Fixes the following issues:
- The Office.context.mailbox.item.body.getAsyncAPI method doesn't return multibyte UTF-8 characters in Microsoft Outlook 2016.
- When you save a document as a .pdf file in Word 2016, invisible table and text are displayed in the .pdf file.
- When you use Word Automation Services to update fields, table-related formulas are reset to zero.
- The Range.Revisionsproperty returns all documents revisions, but not for only the selected documents.
- When you update a table of contents in Word 2016, Word 2016 may crash.
- After you paste text-based OLE links to an email draft in Outlook 2016, the links are broken when you close and open the email message again in compose mode. Similarly, these links are broken in any mail someone has sent to you.
- End-user-defined characters (EUDC) aren't displayed according to font settings.
- When you insert HTML or OOXML data into an inline content control by using Office add-in API, the inline content control may unnecessarily become paragraph-level content control.
- The Office.context.mailbox.item.body.getAsyncAPI method doesn't return multibyte UTF-8 characters in Microsoft Outlook 2016.
