Symptoms

When you attempt to save a page on a Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) Web server that is using Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning (WebDAV), the following error message appears:

Workaround

NOTE: Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps.

To work around this problem, follow these steps:
  1. From either My Network Places or My Computer\Web Folders, open the server's Web folder.
  2. Copy the file to your desktop.
  3. Start FrontPage and then open the file.
  4. Make the changes you want, and then save the file to your desktop.
  5. Copy the file from your desktop back to the Web folder.
