e-TDS/e-TCS file format validation with FVU 4.8 is available for Indian version of Microsoft Dynamics AX

Posting of additional transactions and tax settlement to authority for the quarter for which return has been submitted is not allowed in the Indian version of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 SP1.
If additional transactions are posted in the period for which return has already been submitted, you have to reversal all additional transaction manually as re-settlement and payment to authority through additional challan has been removed. You cannot use C9 correction for filling of correction return.
This hotfix will restrict you to execute re-settlement of TDS/TCS by displaying below warning message:

"Re-settlement and authority payment through C9 correction is not available because the quarterly return has already been submitted."

If you post some transaction in the quarter for which return has been submitted, you have to manually reverse those transactions first else have to face the warning message during re-settlement of tax process.

NOTE One more thing you should take care that if you have created multiple settlement periods belong to same date range or you have separated settlement period for Resident and Non-resident transaction, you are advised to execute settlement of all the settlement periods first than proceed to generate e-returns i.e. 26Q or 27Q. Please note due to removal of C9 correction once return is submitted for the quarter, you will not able to execute tax settlement process again for the same quarter.

You must have one of the following products installed to apply this hotfix:
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 SP1

Restart requirement

You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply the hotfix.

File information

The global version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
