Resolution

To resolve this issue, give the System account Full Control permissions to the drive on which you want to install the FrontPage Server Extensions. To do this, follow these steps.

NOTE: Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps.
  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, click Windows Explorer, and then locate the drive for which you want to set permissions.
  2. Right-click the drive, click Properties, and then click the Security tab.
  3. Click Add. In the Name list, click SYSTEM, click Add, and then click OK.
  4. Select SYSTEM, and then click to select the Full Control check box under Allow.
  5. Click Apply, and then click OK.
  6. Quit Windows Explorer.
