To resolve this issue, use one or both of the following methods, as necessary, in the order presented.
Check the Local Copy
- Start FrontPage, and then open your local copy of the Web.
- On the File menu, click Preview in Browser, and then click Preview.
- Open the page that contains the missing image.
- Right-click the image, and then click Properties.
- If the Size box shows the file size as 0, replace the empty file with a new image file, and then republish the Web.

Check the Image on the Web Site
- Browse to the Web site in question, and then open the page that contains the missing image.
- Right-click the image, and then click Properties.
- If the Size box shows the file size as 0, replace the empty file with a new image file.
- If the file is not empty, check the text in the Address: (URL) category, and then use one of the following methods, as appropriate:
- If the address is a path to location on your computer's hard disk, start FrontPage, open the local Web, import the image into your Web, replace the current image with the imported image, and then publish the Web.
-or- - If the address is a path to a location on the Web site, and the image file does not reside there, move the image to the correct location.
-or- - If the address is a path to a location on the Web site, and the image file is there, open the image. If the image cannot be opened, the file may be corrupted. Delete and replace the damaged file, and then republish your Web to the server.
