The Features section of the printer properties UI is missing after you upgrade to Windows 10

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You have a computer that is running Windows 8.1 or Windows 7.
  • You install a printer device that has advanced features.
  • You upgrade the computer to Windows 10.
In this scenario, the Features section of the printer properties user interface (UI) may be missing after the upgrade.

Resolution

To fix this issue, reinstall the printer driver. Reinstalling the driver will return the Features section to the printer properties UI.

This issue does not cause functionality to be lost. Only the display of available features is missing.
