Symptoms

When you right-click a picture in Microsoft FrontPage 2002, and then click Edit Picture on the shortcut menu, you may receive the following error message
Microsoft FrontPage

Could not load file:///C:/folder/file name.jpg
where folder is the name of the folder that contains the picture and file name is the name of the picture file.

Cause

This behavior can occur in the following situation:
  1. You install Microsoft FrontPage 2000.
  2. You install Microsoft Image Composer.
  3. You upgrade to Microsoft FrontPage 2002.
This issue occurs because Microsoft Image Composer is listed as the program that is used to open image files (.jpg and .gif), but the path to the executable file points to Microsoft FrontPage 2002 (Frontpg.exe).

  7. Click IMGCOMP, click Open, and then click OK.
  8. In the Type list, click jpg, and then click Modify.
  9. Click Browse.
  10. Browse to the location of the Imgcomp.exe file.

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Image Composer\
  11. Click IMGCOMP, click Open, and then click OK.
