Cause

This behavior can occur if the permissions on the Web server do not allow browsing to the form-results page when the form-results page resides in the _private folder. This is the default setting used by the FrontPage Server Extensions.

Workaround

To work around this issue, use one of the following methods.

Method 1

Open the Web in FrontPage, and then use the Open With command to preview the form-results text file in a text editor:
1.Open the Web in FrontPage.
2.On the View menu, click Folders.
3.Double-click the _private folder.
4.Right-click the form-results text file, and then click Open With.
5.Click Text Editor (notepad.exe), and then click OK.

Method 2

Copy or move the form-results text file to another folder, or place the form-results text file directly under the root Web.

NOTE: This method allows other people to browse to this file. The location of this file can be easily obtained by viewing the source code for the form page.
