FP2000: Error Message When You Click a Hyperlink Button in a Form: The Page Cannot Be Displayed

Symptoms

When you click a hyperlink button in a form in a Microsoft FrontPage Web, the destination page may not be displayed as expected, in which case you receive the following error message:
The page cannot be displayed

Cause

This behavior can occur if the button in the form is designed to send information to a text file or a custom script.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
1.Start FrontPage.
2.On the Insert menu, point to Form, and then click Push Button.
3.Click Reset, and then press DELETE.
4.Click Button, and then press DELETE.
5.Right-click a blank space in the form, and then click Form Properties on the shortcut menu.
6.Click Send to other, and then click Options.
7.In the Action box, type the URL that you want to link to the current page.
8.In the Method box, click GET.
9.Click OK in each open dialog box.
10.On the File menu, click Save.
11.Click Submit to test your link.
