Symptoms

Assume that you have a Microsoft Silverlight for Windows Embedded (SWE) application that runs on a Windows Embedded Compact 7-based device. The GetValue function is called multiple times on each DataBinding or PropertyChanged event. This issue could lead to a performance issue on the application.

The kind of processor that each file applies to is visible in the name of each file in the "File information" section.

Workaround

For the same binding property name, on each DataBinding event, add a cache in order to save the last property name, then at the second time, system will not call GetValue until the third time.

After you apply this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To do this, use one of the following methods:

On the Build menu, click Clean Solution, and then click Build Solution.
On the Build menu, click Rebuild Solution.

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this software update.
