View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

When you deploy DirectAccess to connect to Microsoft Lync 2013 (Microsoft Skype for Business), media traffic that is set up over IPv6 may be unreliable and drops easily. This update adds a new client policy setting from in-band provisioning in the endpointConfiguration provisioning group to disable media traffic over IPv6. The new policy provisioning setting is displayed as follows:
<provisionGroup name="endpointConfiguration">
<propertyEntryList>
<property name="ShowRecentContacts">true</property>
...
<property name="DisableMediaOverIPv6">True</property>
</propertyEntryList>
</provisionGroup>

Note The Lync 2013 (Skype for Business) client updates in-band provisioning every eight hours. If the value of the DisableMediaOverIPv6 parameter is changed, a new value will be set on media manager API during the update time.
