FIX: ListBox control is slow to update the UI in a Silverlight for Windows Embedded application

Symptoms

Assume that you have a Silverlight for Windows Embedded (SWE) application that contains two ListBox controls on a Windows Embedded Compact 7 (WEC 7) device. When you run this application, there is about a one-second lag between when you taps on an new item in the bottom ListBox and the UI updating.

This issue occurs as a side effect of the design and implementation of the Silverlight for Windows Embedded runtime.

The Windows Embedded Compact 7 Monthly Update (September 2015) is now available from Microsoft. To download this Windows Embedded Compact 7 monthly update, see Windows Embedded Compact 7 updates in the Microsoft Download Center website.

Restart requirement

After you apply this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To do this, use one of the following methods:

On the Build menu, click Clean Solution, and then click Build Solution.
On the Build menu, click Rebuild Solution.

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this software update.

Update replacement information

This update does not replace any other updates.
