View products that this article applies to.

Introduction

This article describes an issue that occurs in a .NET Compact Framework 3.5 application. In a ListBox control, the vertical scroll bar moves automatically, and the first visible item is selected automatically. This behavior occurs after you quickly move the scroll bar up and down several times. You perform this action on a Windows Embedded Compact 7 device. An update is available to resolve this issue. Before you install this update, all previously issued updates for this product must be installed.

Symptoms

You run an application that contains a form with a ListBox control that's based on the .NET Compact Framework 3.5 on a device that's running Windows Embedded Compact 7.

If Windows Embedded Compact 7 Monthly Update (March 2015) is installed, and you quickly move the vertical scroll bar up or down several times, the vertical scroll bar automatically scrolls a certain distance, depending on the orientation of the previous mouse movement. In this case, the top visible item is always selected.

Note This problem occurs mostly when the mouse end event is outside the scroll selector.
