First location information update after Skype for Business signs in doesn’t follow location update interval time

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Assume that you use the Location Information service for Microsoft Skype for Business, and you change the default interval time to update Skype for Business users’ location information. In this situation, the first update occurs based on the old interval time, which is unexpected. For example, the default interval time is four hours, and then, you change it to one hour. In this situation, the Skype for Business clients do not update the location information until four hours after the clients sign in. After that, the update occurs every one hour.
