Cannot reconcile bank drop information from Retail POS with bank and deposit information in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3

This hotfix makes additional information available on the payment journals for Retail bank drops and other Retail transactions that are posted to bank accounts. This information is then also available on the bank transactions and in other forms, to help with bank reconciliation. 

The hotfix also provides a new optional setting on store payment methods that enables you to set a bank transaction type for Retail bank drops. As with the other information added by this hotfix, the bank transaction type carries through to the bank transaction and is available on other forms.

New information for Retail bank transactions

After installing this hotfix, the information detailed in the following table is available for Retail bank transactions. The table describes where to find the new information in the payment journal, but you can view the information in other places too. For example, you can add the Payment reference and Description fields to the Account reconciliation form for easy reference during reconciliation.


Note: You can control aggregation of bank drops in Retail parameters. To make changes, click Retail > Setup > Parameters > Retail parameters > Posting, and then select or clear the Bank drop check box.

New Bank transaction type setting on store payment methods (optional)

If you want bank transaction types on your bank drops, set up the bank transaction types (Cash and bank management > Setup > Bank transaction types), and then select the bank transaction type on each store payment method that will be included in bank drops at your stores. The bank transaction type for each bank drop will flow through to the payment journal and other forms, as described above.

Note: This functionality is available only when bank drops are set up for specific posting to a bank account.
