Issues that are fixed in this update rollup

  • Issue 1

    A tenant’s local user name password is sent to SMA as clear text, and the credentials can be viewed in the job history in the Windows Azure Pack portal.

  • Issue 2

    Service Provider Foundation Usage Endpoint surfaces the following four new metrics:
    • NICKBSentTotalIPV4
    • NICKBSentTotalIPV6
    • NICKBReceivedTotalIPV4
    • NICKBReceivedTotalIPV6


  • Issue 3

    Any tenant can receive virtual machine performance data for any virtual machine without subscription-on-behalf-of ownership.

How to obtain and install Update Rollup 6 for System Center 2012 R2 Orchestrator - Service Provider Foundation

Update packages for Orchestrator - Service Provider Foundation are available from Windows Update or by manual download from the Microsoft Update catalog. 

Windows Update
To obtain and install an update package from Windows Update, follow these steps on a computer that has an Orchestrator - Service Provider Foundation component installed:
  1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
  2. In Control Panel, double-click Windows Update.
  3. In the Windows Update, click Check Online for updates from Microsoft Update.
  4. Click Important updates are available.
  5. Select the update rollup package, and then click OK.
  6. Click Install updates to install the update package.

Installation instructions
To manually install the update package, run the following command from an elevated command prompt:

msiexec.exe /update kb3050307_Microsoft.SystemCenter.Foundation.Setup_x64.msp

Note After you install this update, it is not listed in Programs and Features item in Control Panel. To uninstall this update, use one of the following commands.

If you have the original MSI installation media for Orchestrator - Service Provider Foundation and the .msp file for this update, run the following command:

msiexec.exe /package Microsoft.SystemCenter.Foundation.Setup_x64.msi /uninstall kb3050307_Microsoft.SystemCenter.Foundation.Setup_x64.msp /passive

If you don't have the original files, you can remove this update by using the GUID references. To do this, run the following command:

msiexec.exe /package {69344E86-7183-4384-A230-499E9914BE14} /uninstall {AC179FD2-EEFF-4E4F-A577-9AAA957639D2} /passive

Note To use this command line, you must have Orchestrator - Service Provider Foundation Update Rollup 4 installed. Otherwise, the uninstall process will fail.
