Improvements that the update provides

This update provides the following improvements:

Adds functionality to provide an antimalware and security solution by using the Microsoft System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection.
Updates contrast colors of control text in Lync Room System.
Replaces the "I forgot to make this a Lync meeting" text with the "Need this to be a Lync Meeting?" text on the calendar tile in the Pre-meeting screen.
Provides System Center Endpoint Protection and anti-malware support.

How to install the update

To install the update for Lync Room System, use one of the following methods.

Note To use System Center Operations Manager to monitor the health of Lync Room System, you must join Lync Room System to the domain before you install the update.

If you have installed the April 2014 update for Lync Room System and then joined the system to the domain, you must restore Lync Room System to factory settings, and then join the domain before you install the June update.
If you had joined the system to the domain before you installed the April update, you can install the April 2015 update directly.

Online update

To install an update on a Lync Room System device that has Internet access, follow these steps:

Log on to Lync Room System in Administrator mode by using administrator credentials. To restart Lync Room System in Administrator mode, follow these steps:
1. In meeting mode, select Options at the pre-meeting screen.
2. To display a prompt for credentials, select Settings.
3. Enter administrator credentials at the prompt.
4. At the Windows logon screen, enter administrator credentials to display the LRS Admin Console.
Click the Web Updates tab.
Under Microsoft updates, select Download from Microsoft Update server.
Under OEM updates, select Download from OEM server.
To update automatically during the daily maintenance time, select the Automatic updates check box under Update frequency.
Click Apply and Restart to save your changes.

Note If you change any settings, and you want to apply updates manually, follow these steps:

Click Apply & Restart.
Restart LRS, and then log on to LRS in Administrator mode by using administrator credentials.
Click the Web Updates tab again.
Select Check Updates and Install.
Click OK to restart LRS when you are prompted.
