Consider the following scenario:
- A 64-bit print driver is installed on a computer that is running a 64-bit version of Windows 7 that has the sharing option enabled.
- A 32-bit print driver is installed on a computer that is running a 32-bit version of Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows Server 2008 that has the sharing option enabled.
- The computers can belong to the same workgroup or to different workgroups.
- You try to install an additional print driver for cross-architecture support in Windows Server 2008 from Windows 7 by following these steps:
- Log on to Windows 7 by using any user account.
- Access Windows Server 2008 by specifying the name of the server. For example, you specify "\\PrintServerName."
- Click View remote printers.
- Right-click the printer icon, and then click Sharing.
- In the Sharing dialog box, click Additional drivers.
- Select the x64 check box, and then click Next.
