From time to time, you may run into an error within MSN Explorer. We know hiccups like these can be frustrating, so we've collected the top error codes and how to fix them.

Problems with your subscription

The subscription associated with the email address and password that were entered has not been activated.

If you just purchased your subscription, you’ll need to wait a bit for your subscription to be activated and for our servers to be updated. Give it a few minutes and if that still doesn't solve the problem, visit our Customer Support page.

We cannot sign you in because your MSN subscription has been suspended.

There are a few reasons for this error code. Perhaps your account lapsed, or your credit card expired. Whatever the case may be, wait a few minutes after your account has been unsuspended and try signing in again. If you're still having trouble signing in or having issues with your account, visit our
Customer Support page.

The subscription associated with the email address and password that were entered has expired.

Your subscription has expired, which explains why you can’t sign in. Visit the Account management page (you'll have to sign in if you haven't already). At the top of the page, select Services & subscriptions. Have questions about your subscription or ran into trouble renewing? Visit our Customer Support page.

Problems signing in

We cannot sign you in at this time

If you recently purchased a subscription, wait a few minutes while we update our sign in servers and then try again. If you don't have a subscription, purchase one from http://get.msn.com. If your subscription was canceled, select OK, press Ctrl+Shift+F11, remove your account and then complete the Installation Wizard to reactivate it. Still having trouble? Visit our Customer Support page.

We cannot sign you in because the sign-in servers are experiencing technical difficulties

We could bore you with a lot of geek-speak, but in short, when you sign in, there’s usually a redirect command to take you to MSN. Except this time, the problem is on our end. Try signing in again. Still having trouble? Visit our Customer Support page.
