Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.

Installation steps
First, when you run the hotfix installation file, it displays the following Microsoft Software License Terms:

Yes, you are prompted about where to put the extracted files:
After you do this, follow these steps on the VMM Server computer.
Note Make sure that you back up your original files before you perform this procedure.
- Stop the System Center Virtual Machine Manager service.
- Replace the files under your Virtual Machine Manager Install directory with the new files that you just extracted. For example, replace these files with the following files:
- %VMMINSTALLPATH%\bin\ImgLibEngine.dll
- %VMMINSTALLPATH%\bin\ Microsoft.VirtualManager.UI.CommonControls.dll
- %VMMINSTALLPATH%\bin\SCXStorageWrapper.dll
Note The “%VMMINSTALLPATH% placeholder represents the directory in which you installed SC2012 R2 VMM, such as C:\Program Files\Microsoft System Center 2012 R2\Virtual Machine Manager. - Start the System Center Virtual Machine Manager service.
To revert this hotfix, follow these steps on the VMM Server computer:
- Stop the System Center Virtual Machine Manager service.
- Replace the files under your Virtual Machine Manager Install directory with your backup files.
- Restart the System Center Virtual Machine Manager service.
