Symptoms

When you try to add a constant to the data page of BizTalk Server 2000 Orchestration Designer on a computer that has the German version of Microsoft Visio 2002 installed, the following error may occur:

Resolution

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Status

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in BizTalk Server 2000. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000 Service Pack 1a.

Steps to Reproduce This Behavior:

1.Install BizTalk Server 2000 and BizTalk Server 2000 Service Pack 1 (SP1) on a computer that also has Visio 2002 installed.
2.Open the BizTalk Orchestration Designer.
3.On the Data Page, double-click Constants, and then click Add to add a new constant.
4.In the Value field, enter a value for the Constant property page, and then click OK.

This error has been reproduced on the following environment:

�Operating system and language: Windows 2000 German
�Visio version and language: Visio 2002 German
�BizTalk version and language: BizTalk SP1 German
�Regional settings: German
