Symptoms

When you share a Microsoft Excel workbook in a Microsoft NetMeeting session, and the person on the host computer uses the arrow keys to navigate in the workbook, Excel may stop responding and display the following error message:
Excel Caused a General Protection Fault in module Keyboard.drv at 0009:00000ae5

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem.

To temporarily work around this problem, use the mouse and scroll bars to navigate within workbooks that are shared in NetMeeting.
