jQuery validation plug-in causes a text box to disappear in Internet Explorer 10 and Internet Explorer 11

Symptoms

Assume that you input some invalid information in a text box that uses Microsoft jQuery Unobtrusive Validation in ASP.NET MVC 4 in Internet Explorer 10 or Internet Explorer 11. Then, a validation message appears. After you correct the validation message by inputting the valid information, the text box disappears unexpectedly.

Resolution

Update information

To resolve this problem, install the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer. To do this, go to Microsoft Update. Additionally, see the technical information about the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer.

Note This update was first included in the December cumulative security update for Internet Explorer (MS14-080) .
