Access/Display Mappings Cause Incorrect URLs When HTTP Is Mapped to HTTPS and Users View Search Results from an SSL Connection

If you use Access/Display mapping for HTTPS, the URLs may be overconocalized.

Cause

This problem can occur if spaces are replaced with %2520 instead of %20 during the canonicalization process. If this occurs, the resulting URL is not valid.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for SharePoint Portal Server 2001. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
