Introduction

Malaysia is going to introduce Goods and Services Tax (GST) by April 1st, 2015. GST is a multi-stage tax on domestic consumption. GST is charged on all taxable supplies of goods and services in Malaysia except those specifically exempted. GST is also charged on importation of goods and services into Malaysia. This hotfix is to address the GST for legal compliance.

The changes in the hotfix include features addressing the following:
  • Manage debit note and credit note
  • Print GST invoice as per GST regulations
  • Print relief clause
  • Print self-billed invoice
  • Generate GST audit file (GAF)
  • Print debit note and credit note list
  • Purchase/Supply list by tax codes
And a configurable solution to provide data for the following GST relevant reports:
  • GST-03 (report for the GST return)
  • GST summary sheet
    • Total Acquisition and Input Tax
    • Total Supply and Output tax
    • Additional Information
  • Reports for group registration
    • Summary of total output of each company
    • Summary of total input of each company
    • Summary of total output – ATS of each company
    • Summary of total input – ATS
    • Consolidated input and output tax of all group members

Prerequisites

You must have Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 installed to apply this hotfix.

Restart requirement

You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply the hotfix.

File information

The global version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
