Date format and ring tone are reset to the default value after you apply an update for Lync Phone Edition

Symptoms

This date format issue occurs only when the language version of Microsoft Lync Phone Edition is Japanese before you apply an update or before you change the language.

This ring tone issue occurs when the localized ring tone name contains Unicode characters that cannot be represented as an 8-bit character in a code page for the selected language. This issue also occurs when you change the Lync Phone Edition language.

Note A Japanese version of Lync Phone Edition may restart if you change the date format setting after you apply an update for Lync Phone Edition.
