Asian language characters do not use the styling attributes of a span tag on a webpage in Internet Explorer 11

Symptoms

When you type some Asian language characters (for example, you type some Korean characters) into a contentEditable div tag on a webpage in Internet Explorer 11, the cursor may jump out of the span tag, and this might cause the newly typed characters to not use the styling attributes of the span tag.

Update information

To resolve this problem, install the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer. To do this, go to Microsoft Update. Additionally, see the technical information about the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer.

Note This update was first included in the November cumulative security update for Internet Explorer (MS14-065) .
