Add the ScanInterval setting to configure the scan interval of the Wi-Fi driver in Windows Embedded Compact 2013

This hotfix adds the ScanInterval registry setting to Windows Embedded Compact 2013 to configure the scan interval of the Wi-Fi driver. After you apply this hotfix, a “Scan Interval =0” setting will disable scans that check for a more preferred Wi-Fi network.


Note The Scan Interval subkey is added under the following registry path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Wlansvc

After you apply this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To do this, use one of the following methods:
  • On the Build menu, click Clean Solution, and then click Build Solution.
  • On the Build menu, click Rebuild Solution.
You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this software update.
