A user can over issue Project Allocated Inventory

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Inventory in Microsoft Dynamics SL:

  • You enter a Purchase Order and enter more than one receipt for that Purchase Order.
  • You open Inventory Issues (10.020.00), enter the Inventory ID, and then click the Project Inventory button.
  • In Project Inventory (10.200.00), on one of the detail lines, you enter a quantity that is greater than the receipt quantity.
  • With the hotfix for bug 30506 applied, you will receive message 28133 “Inventory item has insufficient quantity available in this warehouse Bin and Site ID.” 
  • You save the batch, close the screen, and reopen the screen.

When you do this, you notice that you can now enter a quantity that is greater than the receipt quantity.

Resolution
