Log Sense command populates the Parameter field with arbitrary data in Windows Server 2012 R2

View products that this article applies to.

SCSI log pages for an SCSI storage device have arbitrary data in the Parameter field. This issue occurs because the SCSI log page buffer in the Log Sense command descriptor block (CDB) is not zeroed out after allocation, and so the contents are random. Therefore, the ParameterPointer field retrieves a random value.
