Symptoms

When users who are external to the company send e-mail messages to mail-enabled public folders, they may receive the following non-delivery report (NDR):
From: postmaster@server.com
To: sender@company.com
Subject: Delivery Status Notification (Failure) Date: Mon, 22 Jan 2001 10:50:03 -0800

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

Delivery to the following recipients failed.

PublicFolder@server.com

Resolution

The 5.2.1 NDR is related to permissions issues. To resolve this issue, assign the Anonymous account Contributor permissions on the mail-enabled public folder.
