- Set up Exchange 2000 as outlined in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

- Before you use the Move Mailbox method, run a directory export of Exchange Server 5.5, and change the primary Windows NT account to the accounts on Windows 2000. Import these changes back into the Exchange Server 5.5 directory.
- Replicate the Active Directory Connector (ADC) to make the changes to Active Directory, and then use the Move Mailbox method to move the mail to the Exchange 2000 server.
