Improvements that are included in this update

After you apply this update, the following features are available:
  • The integration of Recovery Plans and Azure Automation offers robust and simplified one-click orchestration of your disaster recovery plans. Azure Automation runbooks now can be directly started from within ASR Recovery Plans.
  • The Track Initial Replication Progress feature prevents virtual machine data from being replicated to a customer-owned and managed geo-redundant Azure Storage account. This new feature is also available when you configure disaster recovery plansbetween on-premises private clouds that are located across enterprise sites.
  • The Simplified Setup and Registration feature streamlines the disaster recovery setup by making it simpler to generate certificates and integrity keys. These elements are needed to register your on-premises Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager server with your Site Recovery vault.
  • The Enhanced enable protection experience feature for on-premises-to-Azure protection notifies you of Azure compatibility issues for the virtual machines. Therefore, it can reduce prerequisite failures.
